Porter Ministry

 

"I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, then to dwell in the tent of wickedness".

Psalm 84:10.
 

  Our Porter ministry is a part of the ministry of helps. The ministry consists of ushers and greeters. Ushers and greeters are the doorkeepers of the Church. Ushers alone with other members of the porters ministry are charged with maintaining order while creating an inviting atmosphere for our members and visitors. Our ushers general duties include door keeper duties, seating guests & members, collecting offering, keeping order, and helping as needed. Our greeters general duties include greeting members & visitors and passing out bulletins. It is the Greeters goal to prepare the atmosphere in the entrances so that when the congregation enters the sanctuary they are able to receive God’s word. 

Vision: To create an atmosphere in which the vision of the house can be realized. 

Mission:  To make everyone who enters into our doors feel welcome while maintaining structure and order to allow God to move in the Spirit as he sees fit.
